  • Your gas station does include the taxes and such in it's posted price. Also, you don't pay taxes on everything you buy at the grocery store.

  • For those people who say that God should make the choice in pregnancy, consider how much medical science influences the health of a pregnancy. Many of the birth "defects" that children have currently used to kill the mother and child before birth, or result in the child dying before the age of 2.

  • Many of the problems with education lie in the fact that everyone thinks they know how to fix the problem because they sat in school. While I do believe class size can reach a ridiculous number, the difference between 24 and 28 isn't going to destroy the efficacy of a teacher.

  • It is not useless technology to me. As a person with poor vision, the ability to get ANY book and have it in large print makes my nook worth every penny. Price just one large print book and you will understand why this device is a godsend to the vision impaired.

  • My mother died from anorexia; it is definitely not just a choice someone makes. My mother knew she had a problem; we tried MANY doctors, counselors and psychiatrists. I actually felt we had made some progress right before she died, but she had an artery fail due to lack of nutrition.

  • As a book lover and an English teacher, I never want to see the end of bookstores; however, I LOVE my e-reader. I have very bad vision and reading on an e-ink screen is easier on my eyes than a computer screen or even a regular paper book. I can enlarge the font on my e-reader.
